Everyone is mad about the jam (fair) but I’m equally perturbed at the lack of crispiness despite being drenched in butter. Looks slightly soggy, maybe just the lighting and there was more crunch in person. But I like the sweet + salty vision, maybe not the execution. 4/10.

There’s a place by us with a bacon, white cheddar fig jam grilled cheese. It’s divine. The perfect sweet salty combo. This probably hits the same notes.

One of the best I’ve ever made was white cheddar and muenster on sourdough, with a rustic brown mustard on the inside of one slice and blackberry jam on the other. Insanely good.
